Katzens would like to thank all the wonderful persons who have given our kittens forever homes. It's a tough thing to do -- raise kittens for 12 weeks and then watch them leave with their new people. There is nothing more heart warming than to see the smiles and love that you give our kittens. That one reason- is why we continue breeding.
We can not say enough praises about Katzens Cattery or the owner. We have been looking for a red and white male kitten for over 7 months. We inquired with many breeders and none had our red white boy. We found one who had a kitten, but she passed us over because I am handicapped, and unable to talk with her on the phone. Missy invited us into her home and we stayed the night, she didn’t have a red and white boy our hearts were set on. She talked with my husband and answered any questions we had. She even let us go though her health records for her Maine Coons. Her cats are gorgeous! They look like the cats you see on posters that make you go awwwhh! She went over the standards with us showing us the examples on her cats. She spent so much time with us. We are grateful to find such a wonderful breeder who loves and cares for her cats as she does.
When we woke up in the morning we had three adult Maine Coons on our bed. Her cats are gentle, loving and very trusting of strangers. As I moved her two remaining kittens that were spoken for lay by my neck. The kittens were so trusting from the moment we came in the door. I guess they seen us as new people to love on them. We are so pleased with our experience with Katzens, we are getting a girl from her next litter. My sister who fell in love with Dusty and our recommendations of Katzens is awaiting litter mates from her next litter. We just took Dusty to our vets for a follow up after his neuter. The vet tech contacted Katzens to be on the waiting list. Everyone at the office loves Dusty. He is a large, loveable, huggable, and very healthy kitten. Our vet was so pleased with the paperwork we took with us detailing all the testing that went into the mother (Zu-Zu), father (Gunner) and Dusty. He said if all breeders put this much effort into breeding he would be out of business.
It was a great experience with Katzens! She cares and loves her felines, and really takes up time with her kitten buyers! She really means it when she says we are a part of Katzens Maine Coon family!

Sorry for not writing to you sooner however time does seem to fly by. Just a note to give you an update on our beautiful new princess "Taffy." It took her a matter of days to settle in and it feels as though she has been part of the family for years. Her temperament is absolutely fantastic, she is so very attached to us all and appears to be stuck to us as she constantly follows us around the house. Taffy has formed a great friendship with our older cat "Mitten," (16yrs). Taffy still cannot understand why Mitten will not run around the house with her at 90mph! I feel that words cannot adequately express how special she is to us all. She is our sweet little "Angel." I can now fully understand it when people say that once you have owned a Maine Coon ( or should I say they have owned you ) they never go back!!!!!
Finally I must say she is a credit to her parents and most obviously to you.

When we first arrived at your house we were met by contented, free roaming cats in perfect condition. You offered us courtesy and information about the breed. It was a pleasure to see your cats getting along very well with each other. Merlin is a handsome example of the Maine Coon breed. He is affectionate, full of character, extremely large and beautifully symmetrical in his markings. He has fulfilled your description of the breed and in fact exceeded it. Our vet considers Merlin to be in excellent condition and to be a fine example of the breed.”

What can we say! Harley is so beautifully socialized, wonderfully loving, happy, well adjusted that we couldn't be more delighted. During the last half of the ride to his new home, Harley was laying upside down (like a baby) in my arms, looking at me like I was the love of his life. Saturday night, we all slept on the bed together, which was hard to believe that Sierra would allow this to happen so quickly. Harley is entertaining her with his playfulness and they have done "the nose to nose" touch a number of times. ... Thanks for taking such good care of Harleys first three months of life. We know it was done with loving care.

I'm just writing to give you an update. The baby meowed the whole way home, and we had to baby talk him a whole bunch. Once we got home he came right out of the carrier and checked out every single inch of the room, but the second he was out of the carrier he started purring. We played with him a little bit and then we all went in the other room to give him some alone time...but it didn't take long until he started meowing, and so we went back in and gave him all the attention he would possibly take. He slept with me all night, snuggled right up on my head and boy does he have a motor on him. He's already playing with all of his toys and using the litter box well and really enjoys his scratching post. He is the sweetest boy, and I'm so glad he is mine. Thank you so much."
